About this collection

1.5 million pages of texts will be digitized as part of "Digitalization of cultural heritage 2018-2023". A large part of the "Mass digitization 2019-2022" project consists of Soviet-era press, which significantly improves the coverage of the second half of the 20th century in the digital archive.

Digitization was financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

NB! Newspapers are included in the portal since 1811. Journals and serials are in the portal since 2017 (older issues check in the digital archive DIGAR).
